One guest comments.... "The thing I like about Berry Lake is that it is clear and deep with lots of reefs, bays, and shallows teaming with fish. I know I can always pick up a Northern for dinner" says George. "Pat caught a 7 1/2 pound Smallmouth Bass on a shallows and reef area not far from Camp. And in more than 15 years, we have always found new places to look for fish. It's a great lake for fishing."
Another guest says... "My favorite is to portage into Otakus. It is an amazing lake, just like Berry. This year in a thirty foot stretch of shore, we cast our little Mepps #3 spinners into the shallows and hauled up a good size Northern, a three pound Walleye, and a two pound Smallmouth. Last year in three casts I caught a five pound Smallmouth Bass, a five pound Northern and a twelve pound Northern! Later in the same trip I caught a Northern over twenty pounds. It was a good trip but not unusual for our fall adventure!"
